TIA or Transportation Intermediaries Association is the premiere organization for third-party logistics professionals doing business in North America.

TIA helps provide leadership and direction for the 3PL industry and has helped shape professional standards, best business practices and the image/ credibility of the profession.

TIA also provides a strong lobbying voice for the industry, educational opportunities for members, and industry research for member companies. ​

David Owen & Buster Anderson started NASTC in 1989 out of an empty briefcase. In the first year, they convinced 100+ carriers to join with the promise of good things to come. As of June 1, 2015, They have 5,500 small trucking companies operating almost 70,000 OTR trucks. NASTC provides over 25 services and just crossed over purchasing 29 million gallons of fuel a month. The very first member is still a member today, 26 years later.
